Smart Gripper ™ 2.1

Applied Robotics’ Smart Gripper 2.1 is scalable to take on any application where efficiency and flexibility are a concern. Promising greater precision and a more user-friendly programming interface, it is the only small, stepper-based gripper that offers easy integration with most commercially available robots.

Features and Benefits

  • 75 mm of finger travel
  • Finger movements greater than 200 mm/sec.
  • 12-bit relative encoder closed loop architecture
  • Up to 32 programs can be selected using the gripper’s five discrete input lines
  • Direct drive --> minimizes backlash
  • Incorporates fail-safe brake system to prevent it from dropping objects
  • Interchangeable fingers can hold or carry microplates (in landscape or portrait), test tubes and other labware
  • Repeatable robotic finger positioning and adjustable grip force
  • Requires no proprietary software or controllers
